These terms apply to StreamerXL Server, its clients, and paid licenses.
StreamerXL
StreamerXL is a personal media server that lets you organize and enjoy your own movies, series, and other media.
The server software and clients are free to download. Continued use of the server after the trial requires a Home or Extended license.
Free Trial
Every new StreamerXL Server includes a 5-day trial with up to 5 clients, starting from the server's first launch.
You can purchase a license at any time during the trial.
Licenses and Payment
StreamerXL offers two subscription plans:
- HomeUp to 5 clients.
- ExtendedUp to 25 clients.
Both plans are available with monthly or yearly billing.
Purchases are initiated through the StreamerXL Server admin interface and completed securely on streamerxl.com using Stripe.
Payments are processed by Stripe and are also subject to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy policy.
Your StreamerXL license is activated automatically after successful payment.
Subscription and Cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your license remains active until the end of your current paid period.
License Expiration
When your trial or paid license expires, playback, scanning, and client pairing are disabled.
Your media library and files remain on your server. Activating a valid license restores access.
Installation and Server Licenses
StreamerXL Server runs as a standalone system. Installing it erases the selected installation disk.
Each server requires its own license after the trial period.
If your server hardware fails, you can transfer your existing paid license to a replacement server for the remaining license period, provided the original server is no longer active. Proof of purchase may be required.
Your Media and Responsibility
You are responsible for the media you add to StreamerXL and for complying with applicable copyright laws.
DVD and Blu-ray backup functionality is intended for media you are legally permitted to copy. Copying restrictions may vary by country.
Your media files remain on storage controlled by you. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your files.
Digital Delivery and Right of Withdrawal
StreamerXL licenses are delivered and activated electronically following successful payment.
Where permitted by applicable consumer law, the right of withdrawal is lost when digital delivery begins, provided you have expressly consented to immediate delivery, acknowledged the loss of that right, and received the required confirmation.
You can cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future renewals. Cancellation does not shorten your current paid license period.
Your statutory consumer rights, including rights relating to faulty digital products, remain unaffected.
Changes and Availability
StreamerXL may receive updates, improvements, and security fixes.
We aim to maintain reliable operation but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of network-dependent features.
Nothing in these terms limits rights provided by mandatory consumer protection laws.
EU Regulations
StreamerXL operates in accordance with applicable European Union regulations and consumer protection requirements.
Your statutory consumer rights remain protected under applicable EU regulations.
